Elated, exhausted and simply over the moon as I submitted the final assignment of my postgrad degree via Turnitin on 8 November 2019. All those sleepless nights finally paid off and I waited patiently (while squeezing in a solo trip to Tassie) for my dad and Bryan to arrive in Brisbane to attend my graduation ceremony at UQ.
It felt so surreal to be able to don the regalia and mortarboard to receive my postgrad certificate. I’ve checked one of the biggest things on my bucket list - pursued an overseas education!
As I bade teary goodbyes to my friends in Brisbane and Unilodge on Dec 11, I have had huge aspirations and was all set to make a difference and create social changes for the lives of my fellow Singaporeans. Little did I know, these aspirations and goals would be taking slightly longer to achieve them.
